Structural analysis MECANO Structure performs static, kinematical and dynamic analyses of non-linear structures. All Finite Elements support geometric and material nonlinearities (hyper-elastic, elasto-plastic, visco-plastic, visco-elasto-plastic, user's defined, composites...). Rigid/flexible and flexible/flexible 2D and 3D friction contact conditions can also taken into consideration.
Multi-body analysis MECANO Motion offers the numerical simulation of plane or 3D flexible articulated systems with any kind of kinematical joints. Based on the Finite Element concept, it therefore accounts for strain effects within body elements. |

MECANO Structure structural elements can be used jointly with MECANO Motion (kinematics and dynamics of flexible mechanisms) kinematic joints in the same application. This allows mechanism-structure coupled analyses to be performed.
Moreover, SAMCEF Mecano provides you interface to link with external software. Then the static (GUYAN) or dynamic (CRAIGBAMPTON) superelements created by other major codes on the market can be read and treated as non-linear elements (large rotations).
Finally, routines for combining SAMCEF Mecano with digital control software (SIMULINK™) are available. |
